I've built my career through a deep understanding of human behavior. Functionally, I've created systems that enable people, of all nuances and priorities, to thrive. I've organized city-wide civic events and managed executive board relationships for the Greater KC Chamber of Commerce. I've built operational governance for a billion-dollar SaaS scale-up. And most recently, I ran $7M multi-venue global conferences for Microsoft. Every role has taught me the art of turning chaos into structure by making sure everyone in the room has what they need to rise to the occasion. That same instinct now goes into finding the right person to complement your team. Now I get to point all of it at a community I care about deeply, one that's been carrying a staffing crisis far longer than it should have to.
I launched my career as a frontline caregiver over a decade ago, working my way up to Senior Director of Programs, leading 200+ staff and a $28.5M budget across 17 program sites. Each step of the ladder allowed me to gather hands-on experience with high-pressure hiring decisions and practical knowledge of what it takes to succeed at every level of the org chart. I have faced the staffing crisis in the field head-on, working hand-in-hand with hiring and onboarding teams to find solutions that turn productive new hires into long-term company cornerstones. Consistently ranked highest among my peers in staff retention, in a field where turnover runs 40-60% a year.
